1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies to all subscription purchases of Hey Genie Pro made through DodoPayments. Please read this policy carefully before starting your trial or subscription.

Hey Genie is a personal project developed by an independent developer. All payments are processed securely through DodoPayments.

2. Free Plan & Trial Period

Evaluate Hey Genie risk-free. We strongly recommend using the Free plan which offers 200 daily AI credits (text replies cost 8 credits, voice replies cost 12 credits) to test all features. Additionally, the Yearly Pro plan includes a 7-day free trial, and the Monthly Pro plan includes a 3-day free trial before billing starts.

3. Pro Subscription Details

  • Purchase Type: Recurring subscription (Yearly at $48.77/yr or Monthly at $5.89/mo).
  • Validity: Active as long as subscription is maintained.
  • Payment Processor: DodoPayments securely handles transactions.
  • Activation: Instant. Your account gets upgraded immediately after DodoPayments checkout. Simply log in inside the extension using the same account used during purchase.

4. Refund Policy

No Refunds After Trial Ends. Once your trial period (7 days for yearly, 3 days for monthly) expires and the initial billing transaction is successfully processed, the purchase is considered final and non-refundable. No partial refunds or credits will be issued for unused time.

By completing subscription checkout, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You had the option to cancel the trial anytime before billing occurred.
  • The digital subscription service is fully active and delivered.
  • Billing charges are final and non-refundable.

5. Exceptional Circumstances

We may consider refund requests under the following limited conditions on a case-by-case basis:

  • Duplicate Billing: If you were accidentally charged twice for the same billing cycle due to a technical error.
  • Verifiable Failure: If a critical, persistent issue on our end prevents the extension from functioning completely and cannot be fixed.
  • Fraudulent Use: If you demonstrate that the purchase was made without your authorization (card theft/fraud).

6. Subscription Cancellation

When you cancel your subscription:

  • Your Pro status remains active until the end of your paid billing period (or until your trial expires).
  • No further recurring charges will be processed.
  • After expiration, your account reverts automatically to the Free plan (200 credits/day).
  • Your saved chats, settings, and prompt templates remain safe.
Manage your billing. You can cancel your subscription at any time by clicking the “Manage Subscription” button inside the extension’s Profile tab, which opens your secure DodoPayments customer portal.

7. Chargebacks & Disputes

If you file a chargeback or dispute through your credit card provider or bank without contacting us first, we reserve the right to immediately suspend your account, revoke your active subscription, and decline future purchase requests from your email/card.
